About Us
We are born and bred, southern belles who are passionate about having fun and enjoying life. The Sassy Sirens joined the Red Hat Society in 2003 and we have seen many changes over the past 5 years but one thing has remained the same and that is our zest for life and our commitement to friends and family. We made a pledge to greet middle age with verve, humor and style. We hope you like our little 'cyber place' and that you come back often for new pics and anouncements.
All of us girls...Old and young... Near and far... Hold special memories of good times we've shared. We've had our share of hard times when our friends were there to make us feel better. We've shared our hearts.....our time our secrets...our fears...our hopes and our dreams. Let us never break the chain of friends!
Warning (excerpts)
When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple with a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me and I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves and satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter. I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired and gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells and run my stick along the public railings and make up for the sobriety of my youth. I shall go out in my slippers in the rain and pick theflowers in other peoples' gardens and learn to spit.
......maybe I ought to practise a little now? So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised when suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple. by Jenny Joseph (1932-)

IF
If my body were a car, thisis the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches inmy finish, and my paint job is getting a little dull ... But that's not the worst of it.My headlights are out of focus, and it'sespecially hard to see things up close. My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things, even in the best of weather. My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins. It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed. My fuel rate burns inefficiently. But here's the worst of it --"Almost every time I sneeze, cough or laugh.... either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires!
